The Importance of Being Idle Arnav's Armchair Analysis

About Me

Hi! I am Arnav, a software engineer at Zendesk grad student at Carnegie Mellon University.

Legend has it, that sometime in 2014, Nanyang Technological University in Singapore conferred onto me, a degree in Computer Science. The same legend goes on to say, that after having pulled that con, not being satisfied with just one degree, I tricked Carnegie Mellon University into letting me enroll in a graduate program in the Language Technologies Institute.

Between those two programs, I worked at Zendesk for three years on the team behind Zendesk Chat (backend and platform). During my undergrad days, I interned at IBM Singapore Software Labs, where I worked on some fun mobile things.

If any of the following words or phrases mean anything to you, we are probably going to be good friends:

  • Manchester United
  • Don't Look Back In Anger
  • Hello Internet
  • Bionic / Bonanza
  • You Look Nice Today
  • Geronimo
  • Dunder Mifflin

In a past life, I played rugby, built an iOS game for kids with special needs, worked on some fun open-source projects and collected keychains and empty pen refills.
